About Me

Although I'm a writer by education and profession, I have a not-so-secret DIY and craft (of almost any kind) addiction.

I invite you to visit, diymaven.com, where I gather all my original how-tos.

When I'm not blogging or DIYing, I write fiction and explore photography.

Before and After: Grody Tin Shelf Gets Pottery-Barn-Style Makeover

By: Diy maven Aug 01, 2014

I found this makeover tucked in the much bigger makeover Suesan gave her 164-year-old federal-style brick home, which in and of itself is pretty amazing. She tackled everything in that makeover and documents it as well. BUT when I was perusing all her hard work, this grody, tin shelf really stuck out. Probably because I have about 8 of them in various collection areas, of our house (like in the downstairs laundry room & garage) in various stages of… Continue Reading

Pictorial: How To Make a Moss Bathmat

By: Diy maven Jul 30, 2014

I'm not entirely sure about the efficacy of a moss bathmat. I mean, seriously, how long would moss (or grass) set in a foam substrate live in indoors in a bathroom? But be that as it may, it looks really cool. The… Continue Reading

Absolutely adorable.. thank you for sharing this..

Hi Maven, I need to site one of your pages for a project at school, do you mind telling me your last name please?

Do you still have a link or instructions for this origami star? http://www.curbly.com/users/diy-maven/posts/3189-how-to-fold-a-3d-four-point-star

Patti--There's a link to a tutorial in the post. At the time, that's the only one I found.

Yes, that is the flooring I am talking about.

Where do I find the instructions on the plywood flooring on the curbly website?

Thanks

No worries, Linda! "Choose File" should be in the upper left of the "insert/edit image". Here's a pic of what it looks like when I open it up:

This is what the window should look like after you click "Upload".

Then, after you click on the size (thumb, medium or large), then click on insert, which is hidden under the picture. (The arrow is pointing to it.)

If your windows don't look exactly like this, then I'm assuming I have different access due to my relationship with the site. If you know what I mean. Hope this helps!!

Linda here again.  Sorry to be so thick!  I am following.................. I think, but now, can't find 'choose file'.  (I do have my glasses on!)  So anyway, I can't follow through, unless I find the pics.

OH My GOD-this is pure genius! Thanks for sharing!
