'Tis the time to organize. Those two places that are oftentimes the focus of such activity are our offices and our closets. While purging, shredding and labeling this year, keep in mind these novel offices and dandy closets.
We've all seen Airstreams turned into backyard home offices/studios, but this is the first time I'd seen a utility trailer turned into one. This one belongs to landscape architect Andreas Stavropoulos. He pulls it to worksites behind his Honda CR-V. Not surprising Andreas lives full time in an Airstream.
An inside shot:
Jewelry designer Judi Patson converted a shipping container into her studio.
A company by the name of Hut Design in the UK makes huts turned garden offices. Darling.
And the tipi inside:
Want an office with a view? Then I might suggest a treehouse office. This one belongs to J Scott Di Valerio (president, Americas Group, Lenovo).
Now let's turn our attention to closets. We're going to ease into transition with this tiny office hidden inside a closet.
Another brilliant use of curtains is in this closet turned laundry room. (Click here for a bunch more clever closet transformations.)
Or how about headboards that conceal a closet? That's what's going on in this next bedroom by Utopia.
Our final example belongs to Barbara Savage-Schiller. She spent a whopping $75k to turn a bedroom into her home into an OTT walk-in closet. Click here for an interactive graphic explaining the highlighted details.
