Can you believe it’s almost New Year’s Eve? If there was ever a new year to celebrate, it’s got to be this one. 2016 was rough all around (R.I.P to like, everyone), and while I’m not sure what 2017 has to bring, I know I’m ready to say “Bye, Felicia” to the past 365 days. Which means it’s time to party. So break out the champagne, put on your dancing shoes, and try out these charming temporary tattoos. They make amazing New Year’s party favors!
This is the first time I experimented with temporary tattoo paper, and let me tell you what: it’s life-changing! These tattoos turned out so good that I’m already scheming other ways I can use tattoo paper in my life (I’m looking at you, Halloween 2017). Not only do they look super crisp and clean, but they were also a breeze to make.
Materials
- New Year’s Tattoo Template
- Temporary tattoo paper
- Inkjet printer
- Scissors
Step
Download the New Year’s Printable design, found here. Following the directions on the temporary tattoo paper, print out the design on the glossy side of the paper. Use your printer’s photo settings if possible. The images will show up mirrored. Once the ink has dried, apply the clear adhesive to the front of the paper. Use a credit card to smooth out the plastic as you apply.
Step
Cut out your tattoos, and you’re ready to go! They can be applied to the skin by removing the clear plastic, applying the tattoo face down, and pressing a damp washcloth to the back for 10-15 seconds (or until the paper backing can slide off the design).
Each page of the template contains 12 tattoos, so depending on the number of guests at your party, you should only have to print off a few pages. Send your guests home with these cute New Year’s party favors, or break them out during the festivities for a fun group activity!
Even though 2016 has been exhausting, it’s hard to believe it’s almost over. Are you ready for the new year? I need to get started on my resolution list!
