6 DIY Coaster Gift Sets

By: Modhomeecteacher Nov 10, 2010

Only if you live in a house full of laminated tabletops do you not need coasters. I've been known to pull a hamstring while darting over to slide a coaster under a guest's drink. It's not that I'm a big old fuss budget with my house, I just can't stand to see those white circles left by watery drink glasses. You can imagine my surprise (and delight) when I saw a DIY Coaster Roundup over on How About Orange and there in the bottom right corner were my tree limb coasters I originally posted right here on Curbly.

Oh man, I love those numbered cork coasters!  Definitely making those at some point in the near future.  Great roundup!  :)

We have a wood burning fireplace so most of it will be used for that, but with all the trees we've lost, and more to come down as soon as hubby has time, I'll have plenty to work with. I also want to make some votive holders for the mantel too.

You are welcome. I'm always foraging through our limb pile looking for projects.

I can't believe I missed commenting on this the first time around. Maybe it was because it was posted before we lost a couple dozen trees to a fungus. We now have plenty of wood out back that I can make some of these handy and great looking coasters for us and friends. I don't think one can ever have too many coasters.

Thanks Mod!
