Curbly

So, I found this pattern last night and made it last night. Couldn't wait to put it on my black cat. He looked so cute this morning. MY father hates it and my husband says I can't let him outside in it. i took a picture but not sure how to upload it with a url. oh well I just love it.

Thank you so much! I will surely let you know how it turns it. I actually tried to make her a sweater last year and it was quite humorous. I had to take it apart 3 times and then when I thought it was "done" the arm holes were definately not where they were supposed to be. I wanted to throw it away and not even show it to them but my husband wouldn't let me and my daughter said Sadie wanted a sweater from Grandma so when they got to Michigan we tried it on her and it was pretty funny. I had to take it apart again and move the arm holes but Sadie was so proud of her sweater! This should be interesting but I will give it my best!

Hi Sue. Actually, it's a very easy pattern to up-size (or customize, for that matter). First take Sadie's tummy measurement. Then measure her around her neck. Finally measure her from midsection (or wherever you measured her tummy) to her neck. Now we customize. Make a chain as long as her tummy measurement. Follow the pattern instructions through row 5, adding rows of yellow (you might need to do 10 rows of yellow, for example) and orange (again, you might need to add 4 rows or so) where needed until your piece measures from that tummy measurement to Sadie's front underarms. Then start row 6; dc in about half to 3/4 of the dc made in the last row. Follow the pattern to row 12; at the end of row twelve, add as many chains as you need to measure Sadie's neck measurement. Add as many rows as you need to make the sweater's collar and finish up as stated. That should do it! Let me know how it goes. :)

My daughter found this pattern and wanted me to make it for her dog Sadie but Sadie is an 80 lb lab I don't know how to adjust the pattern to make it fit.  Could you possible help me with that? I would really appreciate it.  Thank You.  Sue
