Ahhh, auto-translate...Well, "the potato rows" is the popular name for some very charming old houses in central Copenhagen - pics here - and "uldpude" means a wollen cushion.

Capree, Chrome has a pretty handy auto-translate feature built in. It doesn't make poetry, but its useful for navigating sites. Here's how it renders "Home 1" above:

We Danes love when the world notices us :-) Since we are only 5 mill. Danish-speaking people in the world, who would ever want to learn Danish? E-mail me the text you'd like translated and I'll see to it over the weekend. By the way - do you know the other big Danish interior Design magazine called RUM? It has a more international feel to it - whereas BoligMagasinet is more affordable, has DIY-project etc.

Lizzy - Home #5 is definitely at the top of my list, too!  It's actually the home that inspired me to do this post.  I love the color palette and yes, all that space!!

Chris - I just "read" the online version, though you might be able to get a subscription or find it in an especially awesome bookstore.  Not sure how much the hard copy would cost, though.  For now, I'm satisfied just by clicking on random links throughout the site!  ;)

Nope, technically Finland is not part of Scandinavia.  It is a Nordic country, along with Iceland, and the three Scandinavian countries.  But Denmark, Norway, and Sweden have that separate distinction.  :)

Also, that home is wild!  I bet it has a hidden jet propulsion system; it looks like it could fly!  (Or at least float on that gorgeous lake - what a view!)
