How to: DIY Painted Concrete Stepping Stones

by on Feb 6, 2021

Coming from a family of women who know how to garden well, the pressure is on! This year, I tried my hand at creating a garden in my home home, and, well… so far, it’s not going as I hoped. Gardening takes time, patience and a lot of practice. Until then, it needs a little help. So I decided to create some DIY  modern stepping stones that can do wonders in the meantime!

Materials

  • Round concrete paver
  • High-gloss paint (like this one here)
  • Paint brush

Step

Clean off the surface of your cement slab using a cloth and start your design. I went for a simple graphic pop to balance the look of our garden.

Repeat with as many stepping stones as you desire.

Allow slabs to completely dry.

Once slabs are dry, place in your garden however and wherever you like! Enjoy!

It’s so easy, your garden will look as good as new before you know it. Have fun placing them on their own or even side by side with a few to create a fun walk-way. Depending on how big your garden is, this can definitely create a modern look amidst your flowers and greeney.

I would love to read this, but a HUGE ad covers up half of the screen on my iPad every time I scroll down… :/

This required step by step instructions? Watching the paint dry would have garnered more interest. Come on, Curbly. You guys are just sad now.

@anonymous – nice snarky anonymous comment … I’m sure you feel much better now.

@susie – could you contact me directly at [email protected]? I’d love to help sort that out. There definitely shouldn’t be an ad covering up the page and I’d like to figure out why you’re getting one.

    Thanks,
    Bruno
