How-To: Sew Your Own Thanksgiving Napkins

by on Nov 17, 2010

Should you find yourself with a little bit of free time in the days leading up to Thanksgiving (hey, it might happen), consider whipping up a set of linen napkins for the feast.  It’s a super easy project, plus, whether you’ll be dining with family or friends (or both), everyone will be impressed with your mad skills and dedication to being festive.  And there’s nothing more important during the holidays than impressing people with your level of festiveness.  Right?  Right.  On with it, then.

Each year, the cool kids at The Purl Bee create a new series of Thanksgiving napkin designs, complete with tutorials and how-tos.  I’ve highlighted a few of my favorite, including what materials you’ll need for each.

If you do end up sewing your own Thanksgiving napkins, I’d love to see the final results.  Post your completed projects in the comments!  Also, which of these three styles are you leaning towards?  I’m definitely feelin’ the super bright handstitched set myself!
