Look, I'm no cook. My mom wasn't, and I'm not. Thus, there are many burnt pans in my world. The cook around here is the Mr. and he gets super annoyed when I get preoccupied and let food burn in a pan. (What normal person wouldn't?) I discovered a little secret if I can get to it before he does.
According to pan burner Sarah Meyer Walsh of The District Domestic, you simply
douse a thick layer of baking soda all around the pan, then drizzle with just a little bit of water (almost like making it into a paste) and then let the baking soda work it’s magic overnight.
If you need the pan right away, dribble a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid into the pan, add hot water to cover the bottom, then place the pan on the stove over medium heat. Bring it to a boil and let it “cook” for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and try the scrubbing process again.
I love getting tips from those who do love working their magic in the kitchen. Now, if you need to know how to rip out a seam, call me.
