How to Build a Polygon Lamp Shade

Dan over at Instructables breaks down his universal lamp shade design, complete with a template for cutting the necessary shapes to assemble your own one-of-a-kind polygon shade. He offers a variety of suggestions for materials you could use to make the individual pieces–including plastic milk jugs! For illumination, he used a simple socket on a cord, which he found at Ikea for 4 bucks. With just a few materials and some patience with a scissors, you too could have a fabulous DIY lighting accent!
