When you only have a small budget for outdoor furniture, finding the right pieces can be a bit dissapointing at times. If you don't feel like waiting for those end-of-summer deals, try exploring your local thrift store. With some good scouting and creative imagination, you might find the perfect piece for your patio.
- Two cans of spray paint
- Roll of yarn (in a complimentary color)
- Hot glue gun
Give the chair a good cleaning to get rid of any dirt or grime that might prevent the spray paint from sticking.
Apply the spray paint evenly on the back side of the chair. Allow to dry in between each coat until fully covered. Once dry, flip over and repeat. Allow the chair to dry for a few hours before proceding.
Cutting long strands of yarn, simply tie a knot to begin and wrap the yarn around sections of the chair frame and base.
Once you are done with wrapping your section, secure your yarn with a dab of hot glue. Repeat as many times as you want - the pattern is entirely up to you!
And just like that, your chair is brand new again. Sit, relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor - and a refreshing summery cocktail of course! Outdoor furniture makeovers are such a great option. They allow you to personalize your piece by picking specific colors and finishes to suit your style best. A pop of color is always a good thing for summer, so don't be scared to try something out of your comfort zone.
