Summer is the perfect excuse to make bright and fun patterned pieces for the home and outdoor living – don’t you think? I love spending as much time outside on our patio as I can, but we are currently lacking in the furniture department right now. I decided to make a fun outdoor side table with a citrus top to add a splash of color and a whole lot of fun to our patio space!

Materials
- 18-inch Pine Round
- Hairpin table legs
- Table leg hardware
- Painters Tape
- Damp Cloth
- Paint
- Clear Acrylic Spray
Instructions
1. Sand your table top and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Using painters tape, create your unique citrus design.

2. Begin painting your table top any color, depending on your citrus! I went with a fun grapefruit design because I am currently loving pink!

3. Allow paint to dry completely in between coats. When dry, remove tape carefully. Spray with clear acrylic spray for wood protection.

4. Attach legs according to directions.

5. Display and enjoy!!
This instantly adds the color I needed and a functional piece for our outdoor space. It’s perfect for holding my magazines and cool drinks, so I can happily enjoy the quiet and beautiful weather while the kids are busy napping inside! I would so much rather create one-of-a-kind pieces for my spaces, instead of going out and buying something generic. It truly adds a unique and perfect design to meet my needs! What do you think about this fun citrus trend on furniture?
