It’s the time of year when we’re all spending more time outdoors than inside them. Keep the threshold separating the two cheery and functional with this geometric welcome mat!
What you’ll need:
- Coir door mat (available on Amazon or at IKEA)
- Painter’s tape
- Paint and brush
Start by taping off your design. If you’re making the same pattern that I did, I recommend using a ruler to help with initial placement. It also helps to start on the outside of the triangle shape and build your design inward (from biggest to smallest).
Paint! To really make sure your paint is applied, it helps to almost stamp it into the mat verses painting in brushstrokes.
Once dry, peel the tape, put on your porch and enjoy!
CUTE!
(Please note the bold, italics, underlined, all caps, and the exclamation mark.)
Very colorful and pretty!
So cute! Has the paint worn off at all?
Please can you tell me the complete name of these nice paints! I like it ????
Can you specify the type of paint to get for this? …that will last for a while?
What kind of paint did you use? How long did it last? I would like to put the kids footprints on it. Did the paint make it slippery?
