This sequin-lined lampshade from DaWanda is like a perpetual celebration of New Year's Eve. Available in a variety of sequin colors, the lampshade clocks in at 86.90 Euros (about $106 US), but it looks like the maker doesn't ship to the US. What's a Yankee to do? Make one, of course. A black lampshade is easy to find, ($49 on Amazon), and just about any fabric store in the US will carry sequins--both strung and fabric. Gluing the string kind would be tedious compared to fabric application. Fabric.com has some beautiful sequin fabric from which to choose, all $17 or less a yard. Because we'd only need as much fabric as our lampshade is high, we'd only need 1/3 of a yard to cover the inside of the lampshade mentioned earlier as it's only 11" high...that's $5.66 in sequins. Not bad!
