How To: Make a Colorful Earphone Cover with Loom Elastics

by on Oct 28, 2014

JoyJonne Hooks The tween girl inside me started eyeing Rainbow Looms as soon as they hit the aisles of the craft store. The much older girl in me told me that that particular craft train has left the station. But after seeing JoyJonne’s colorful earphone cover made with those same elastic bands utilized in Rainbow Looming, I’m thinking I may have rushed to judgement. Of course, JoyJonne didn’t actually use a rainbow loom to make the cover but a spool knitting doll, which in itself is very clever. (Here’s a DIY version to make your own spool knitting loom out of PVC pipe and paper clips!) We’ll also need some kind of hook, preferably a crochet hook, to do the weaving, but you could probably improvise that too. For the entire tutorial, head on over to JoyJonne Hooks.
