By the time we’re done with our holiday shopping, it’s understandable that we’re tempted to slap some wrapping paper around the presents, stick on a bow and tag and call it done, but, really, the wrapping part is a great time to let our creative side run amok. To help us think outside of the box (pun intended), here are some darling and easy gift-wrapping ideas that’ll make our gifts stand out from the crowd.
A simple string of pom-pom trim makes this gift.
Skip the bow and make this 3D Christmas tree. HGTV tells us how. (Image #10 in the slideshow.)
Washi tape for ribbon? Absolutely.
There’s a lot of coordination going on here, but the element that caught my eye was the layering of the ribbon and string.
Most Wanted Layering, again, but this time with corrugated paper. (Love the texture it brings.) Make sure to check the link for more images of nature-inspired gift-wrapping.
A bit of twine, ribbon, yarn, seasonal sprigs and the morning paper and w’ere all set. (Hooray for recycling.)
Decorative string and sealing wax. (Never would have thought of this in a million years.) To go the extra mile, how about making our own wax seals?
Another white paper option, but this time tarted up with stickers.
Photo-copied sheet music is the perfect foundation for a jingle bell bow.
I like finding new ways to make my stamps and paper-shaping machine do double duty. If you’re the same, then you’ll love this idea using a brown paper bag and jute bow.
