These are great! My girlfriend is really into adding artsy flavor to our garden. We recently started growing vines from a lean-to that I had built a long time ago.

Our next big project is going to be a fun and unique way to support our tomato plants as they begin to get to big for their own fruit! We've been brainstorming using a bamboo truss system. Do you have any ideas, or processes you've used in the past?

Thanks for the great post!

Keter, Thanks for sharing that great idea! We are always looking for simple ways to make a greenhouse and keep plants alive during the winter months. Best of luck on all your summer gardening adventures! - Cale & Meg

This spring I made a lean-to frame to support four 10 ft. lengths of gutter and planted salad greens and herbs in it.  In winter, clear plastic and a couple of clip lights will turn it into a greenhouse.  So far, I'm loving it and so are the greens - I will soon be harvesting my salads.

My raised garden beds back up to my fence, and I stretched chicken wire across the fence to make a trellis to support climbers.  It's strong enough to hold some weight, climbers don't need to be tied to it, and removing the dead vines at season's end is easy.
