Five Fun and Funky Clock Makeovers!

by on Jan 30, 2012

You may have noticed that there are a lot of goofy and cheap clocks out there. If they’re goofy, they’re probably outdate and if they’re cheap, they probably lack personality. Here are five makeovers that tackle both kinds of problems to GREAT effect.

Above is clock purchased for $4 at Walmart. A dollar for scrapbook paper and we have a cute timepiece with personality. The creator used a Silhouette to cut out the numbers, but because it only had 3 numbers, I think a free hand approach work fine too. Click here for complete instructions.

Here’s another round and white entry, but instead of totally remaking the face, Hanna decided to just paint it all white and then mod-podge fabric to its frame.

Using her computer, Jamie printed the face of her new mantle clock onto burlap (!). A coat of bright blue paint and this entry is a shadow of its former self

Okay, so this $3 clock isn’t a clock after the re-do. It’s a cloche! Is that not genius??
