Stitched Christmas Cards

Our first post about easy, handmade Christmas Card Ideas (link) was a hit, so it seemed like a good time to infuse the Curbly coffers with even MORE easy handmade Christmas card ideas.

I adore Fern’s stitched Christmas cards (pictured above), and even though they might look a little tricky, they aren’t. All you need is some blank cards (or cardstock), some pretty scrapbook papers and a sewing machine. Head on over to Craft Blog for all the details.

Just as cute and even easier are these ornament cards, for which the maker provides a template. Click here for the info.

Here’s an easy and gorgeous pop-up from Country Living. Although this version requires a snowflake punch, the woodland seen would be just as pretty without the snowflakes. Maybe replace them with a tiny rhinestone?

Proving that a great idea never gets old is this pop-up tutorial on Martha that was posted back in 2000. Templates are provided for these designs and many more over at MS.com. (To get the pdf of the templates, click on the ‘tools and materials’ at the top of the post.)

These next few cards come from Impress Rubber Stamps using their products, however, you don’t really need them. The simple snowman pictured below is just a series of circles made with circle punches.

For something with non-traditional colors, check out this lovely tree also from Impress.

I spotted this one on Pinterest. No word on how to make it, but it looks like an Xacto and a white opaque pen would do the trick.

Here’s another pinned one. This time from My Paper Secret.

Four decorative gifts on a green and white background.

And, finally, here’s some sweet string (actually it’s embroidery thread) tree cards from Paige Russell. Follow this jump for a video tutorial on how to make them.
