5 Inspiring Rug Makeovers (Tutorials Included)

Whether the rug comes from a big box store, Ikea or even a rummage sale, a paint brush and paint can create something quite fabulous. Just take a look at these five rugs that got the diy once-over.

First up is a sisal rug project from She Made It. Stencils make the hard part easy.

This old rug gets a wild makeover, courtesy of zebra stripes, which were created using masking tape.

This indoor/outdoor rug makeover is from yours truly. Still have it; still love it.

Tater Tots and Jello hopped on the chevron bandwagon with this little project. It started as a plain Egeby rug from Ikea

I painted my own rug recently too and I already have another one lined up to paint.  There is something so satisfying about changing something drab to something entirely your own.  I have a full blown how-to posted here if anyone needs any help!
