Totally DIY-able Outdoor Flip-Down Sideboard

I am loving this flip-down sideboard from Plow & Hearth. It would be perfect for small outdoor living spaces, and, best yet, it's totally DIYable. A couple of lengths of chain, some hinges and a latch is all we'd need for hardware. I'd shoot the moon and go for ipe for durability, but in covered and semi-covered areas, any species would do. I spotted this item on Apartment Farm but couldn't find it on the P&H website, so I can't tell you if it's still available or how much it cost. But who cares?? We're gonna DIY it!

I am hoping to use some old shutters we have. These instructions will save us loads of time THANK YOU SO MUCH! Will post when mine is ready. Good luck to everyone!!

Where is the DIY for this? I am really interested. Seems like it could be semi-DIY if you had an old spice rack.

Very DIYable. Made a little bigger and it could work for a small potting station too.

You probably couldn't find it because it's called a wall-mount cabinet on the Plow & Hearth site. For anyone interested, here's the link. Unfortunately, it's currently not available.
