Roundup: 10 Inspiring & DIYable Dresser Makeovers

The best furniture makeovers are not necessarily the most over the top. A little paint and some new hardware can make Goodwill and Craigslist finds look like they’re straight off the showroom floor. Take for example these 12 makeovers, each is as fresh as a spring day. 

Lexi’s dresser makeover (pictured above) was inspired by Benjamin Moore Paint Strips. However, she made her own custom colors with some white and green paint she had on hand. She simply mixed them together to create the graduated colors. 

Not only did Leigh make over her Craigslist find, she also made over the little alcove which it now calls ‘home.’

Kristina found a ‘hideous’ little dresser at Goodwill and turned in to an homage to her favorite season: spring.

Not every dresser makeover requires new hardware. The original pulls become more interesting on this traditional piece after a coat of crisp white paint.

 Lauren skipped trying to paint her laminate dresser, so she turned to Contact paper to give it a fresh look. Yes, the tree image was sketched onto Contact paper, cut out and applied to the dresser.

Lisa too decided to skip the paint and instead opted to sand down the top of her dresser. New hardware from Hobby Lobby complete the look.

 And, finally, we end where we started, with a gradient. Julia forwent the paint and chose instead varying shades of wood stain to accomplish her fabulous dresser makeover.
