Vinegar is not just a versatile ingredient in the kitchen; it also has a multitude of alternative uses around the house. This acidic wonder can tackle various cleaning tasks with ease.

Mix it with water to create a natural all-purpose cleaner that’s effective on countertops, glass, and even floors. Say goodbye to stubborn odors by leaving a bowl of vinegar in a room to absorb unwanted smells. Vinegar can also be your go-to laundry buddy, helping to soften clothes, remove stains, and neutralize pet odors.

Whether you’re cleaning, deodorizing, or simply looking for practical solutions, vinegar is an eco-friendly and cost-effective tool that can do wonders inside and outside your home.

Weed killer

Vinegar’s low pH makes it very acidic, and perfect for getting rid of weeds and un-
wanted plants and grasses in your yard.

Clean your microwave

Nuke a bowl of 50/50 vinegar and water on high and bring to a boil. Allow the steam to penetrate gunk, then wipe clean. Easy as that!

Add to laundry wash cycle in place of fabric softener

Mix 1-2 cups of white vinegar into the rinse cycle for soft, fluffy, and smell-free clothing, sheets, and towels.

Kill mildew & mold

Spray a mixture of white water and vinegar in your basement, bathroom, and other wet places to say goodbye to surface mold and mildew.

Keep car windows clear from ice

In the winter months, Spray the outside of your windshields with a 3:1 white vinegar to water solution to deter ice from forming on the glass.

Clean your coffee maker

Run a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water through your drip coffee maker to get rid of buildup and residues.

Remove water rings on furniture

Mix equal parts white vinegar and olive oil and wipe with a soft cloth to remove the white rings left by drinking glasses on wood furniture.

Clean the garbage disposal

Freeze a 2:1 white vinegar to water solution in an ice cube tray, then grind a cube in your garbage disposal, and rinse with water.

Air freshener

Simply leave a dish of vinegar in a room with a recent unpleasant smell (burnt food, pet odors,
mildew) and allow it to absorb the odors.
