Believe it or not, we're already halfway through December and if you're hosting a party this holiday season, it's high time you picked out a centerpiece idea for your bash! We can help... today we're sharing a super easy candle centerpiece that uses upcycled bottles and colorful berries. Keep reading to check out the tutorial!
- Empty clear wine bottles
- Goo Gone
- Living or artificial evergreen branches and berries
- White candlesticks
- Paper towels
- Razor blade (not pictured)
Begin by removing the labels from your bottles. Soak them in hot soapy water for a couple of hours, and then use a razor blade to carefully remove the stickers. If they're not peeling off easily, use a paper towel to apply some Goo Gone. Once everything is removed, wash with soap and water and then remove any excess oil with Windex.
If you're using artificial berries, cut some off of the stem and leave some on.
Next, insert the evergreen branches into the bottle. Start with the smaller ones, then insert some berries and then finish with a longer evergreen branch.
Test the candle in the mouth of the bottle... if it's too wide, trim it down with an old knife.
Fill with water and light the candles, and your festive holiday centerpiece is complete!
You can experiment with different things on the insides of the bottles to personalize them a bit, and you could even use different bottle and candle shapes too... have fun with it!
