Sure, they’re big hunks of metal. But boy, are they cool to look at! Take a look at some awesome artistic interpretations of our favorite ways of getting around. (And I threw in bikes, too!)

Inspired by the Domino magazine image above, Dina from Honey & Fitz created posters of WWI and WWII propeller and jet engine fighter planes. And she sized them to fit Ikea Ribba frames. You can check them out in her Etsy shop

I am slightly obsessed with the work of Jeffrey Milstein. His jet photographs were taken by him lying on his back as the planes approached for landing. An exhibition of his work is currently on display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum if you’re lucky enough to catch it. I’d consider buying his book and framing several images, as I imagine the larger scale prints are a bit pricey.

Subway station posters are pretty popular these days. Going Underground offers an entire subway series from different cities, like Austin, Boston, LA, San Fran, Paris, Portland and more. You can also create your own. (No actual subway required.)

These simple line drawings of vintage classic cars from EMC Design Lab are a fun way to add a pop of color to any room in your house. Yep, even the garage. Plus, you can customize your color palette.

The Etsy shop Forgotten Pages is a treasure trove of visual goodness. They print on old book pages for a layered, vintage look. Lots of images to look through, but this antique roadster made me say “wah-OOOOO-gah.”

And because we are FOEs here at Curbly (that’s Friends of the Environment), I thought I’d throw in some human-powered bicycle eye candy as well.

This 5-panel painting of a tandem bike is the work of Jonathan Olson and lives in Mandi Gubler’s front hall. You can see more pics of the artwork and Mandi’s rockin’ entryway on Vintage Revivals.

And finally, Joshua Williams submitted this photo to Mercian Cycles, showing every single piece of his bike laid out before he assembled it. How cool is this? If I were a cyclist, I’d definitely be hanging this front and center in my home.

So tell me, how do you feel about bringing your ride inside?
