kitchen ingredients such as beet juice, blueberries, curry powder, paprika, grape juice, daffodil heads, black tea and probably coffee for deep chocolate brown. (You may have to do a half and half with the brown to make it look Easter-y)Oh yeah, cooked spinach will yield a nice green.

The white vinegar is a must, and the longer you soak, the deeper the colors become. It's a delightfully refreshing change from what we've seen for umpteen years.

I have started using the natural dyes for coloring Easter eggs. The colors may not be as bright and glassy but I like the realness of these natural colors. I display them in more creative ways like making my grandchildrens Easter baskets over store bought with homemade candies and fruits.
