By: Faith-towers Dec 02, 2013

Good gifts can be hard to find. And I don't work well under pressure, so with less than four weeks left until Christmas, I'm feverishly trying to find the perfect present for everyone on my list. I'm especially fond of kits this year... I consider them to be the modern, DIY version of the gift basket. Keep reading to see ten of my very favorites.

The mulling spice kit shown above can be used to make mulled cider, wine or even spiced rum. Head over to Dell Cove Spices to purchase one. This would be a great hostess gift or stocking stuffer!

Know any sneaker enthusiasts? This clever kit comes with all the supplies to paint your own sneakers. If I wore sneakers more often, I'd get one for myself! (I'm more of a flip flop kind of girl). Buy the kit here.

If you have a plant-lover on your list, this next one would be perfect. Head on over to imakin on Etsy to order this fun neon Geoplanter DIY Kit.

Brooklyn DIY Supply has a couple of great crafty kits including this DIY peppermint lip balm kit. Order yours here.

This fresh chevre cheese-making kit is great for any foodie or chef on your list. Order one here from Homestead Cheesetrade (or check out all of their other fun products).

I love this next one (possibly because of my severe map obsession)... the outlines of the states are embroidered to produce a beautiful handmade quilt. Head on over to Haptic Lab to order one.

These set from Whimseybox comes with materials for five quilled paper snowflakes. Whimseybox also offers a monthly subscription option which would make a great gift as well. Order your quilled snowflake kit here.

This Microgreens Garden In A Box set is perfect for any beginning gardener or vegetable lover on your gift list. Head on over to Maggie's Microgreens on Etsy to buy one of these or any of her other interesting gifts.

Beer brewing kits are popular these days, but I'm intrigued by this Vermont Maple Porter in particular (because I grew up in Vermont and love maple syrup). Uncommon Goods sells it for the affordable price of $48... click here to buy.

Last but certainly not least is this terrarium kit by Twig. It comes packaged in a pretty box filled with all the materials you'll need for a beautiful terrarium. Buy yours here.
