For the person who has everything or those nagging teenagers who 'Just want cash, please!' are these delightful-if I do say so myself-gift card and $$$ holders. When the loot is out, they make cute Christmas tree ornaments too.

What 'cha need:

Step 1:

Print the PDF and cut out the pattern.

Use the lower part of the pattern to cut out a rectangle, as shown.

Step 2:

Using the font on the pattern as a guide, stitch on lettering to the FRONT of the cardholder. A little embellishment in the corner--using French knots for berries and detached chain stitches for leaves--is a nice touch.

Step 3:

Next, position the rectangle on the back of the tag and blanket stitch around, keeping its width at 1/4".

Tuck the stash in the back pocket, and thread a bit of perle cotton to the top of the tag to hang on the tree, if desired.

That is a really cool idea, and so simple and quick to make too. It certainly takes giving cards to a new level!

Well I'll be! Those are too darn cute. Makes me want to give cash or gift cards. They'd be cute as tags on wrapped gifts too.
