Just Completed: The World's Most Expensive House

Frédéric Soltan/ Corbis

Mukesh Ambani has built a new home for his wife and two children in Mumbai. Its price tag? About a billion bucks. Yes, you read that correctly. According to Time, here are some highlights:

The lavish building...has 27 stories, is 173 meters high and has 37,000 square meters of floor space — more than the Palace of Versailles. It contains a health club with a gym and dance studio, at least one swimming pool, a ballroom, guestrooms, a variety of lounges and a 50-seater cinema. There are three helicopter pads on the roof and a car park for 160 vehicles on the ground floors.

Diggs this size will need some 'help' to keep it up, which is why Mr. Ambani who, by the way is the richest man in India and Forbe's fourth richest man in the world, employs a staff of 600 to do just that.

Well it looks to me as if it could hold two titles, there other being "The World's Ugliest House". I certainly hope it looks better on the inside.
