created at: 02/28/2013My Sweetie Pie has been hinting at getting a waffle iron. Since I dislike one-job appliances, I've been nixing the idea. However (you knew this was coming, didn't you?) after finding these saliva-producing recipes for tasty treats all made using a waffle iron, I think I just might be on board the waffle train now.

 1. Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Waffle Cookies. Recipe and how to at Fine Cooking.

We used to make waffle iron brownies a lot when I was a kid, but have now lost the recipe. Anybody have it?

Hey, someone forgot, BACON,  Makes great bacon

I have one that came with interchangeable panini/sandwich maker inserts, which I never use. I love the French toast, hamburger, and cornbread ideas. Can't wait to try them!

And I just got rid of mine, when I moved ...

I'm also very anti single-use kitchen tools and had given up on a waffle iron until I found this combo panini press/grill/griddle that can also be fitted with waffle iron plates: http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-Griddler-GR-WAFP-Waffle-Plates/dp/B007UIR73I/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1362152430&sr=8-3&keywords=cuisinart+griddler+waffle

Damn it...now I want a waffle iron. I've always managed to resist them so far, but now I realise how versatile they are... :-)
