Okay, so you have TONS of Christmas stocking tutorials that you could tackle between now and Christmas, but you don't have a mantel on which to hang them. Not to worry! Santa doesn't really care where the stockings are hung. (He has an uncanny ability to find them wherever they are.) What I've heard, is that he actually LIKES to find them hanging in less prosaic places. If true, these 10 ideas will surely please him.
I love the way Jane used a branch, which she adhered to the wall with two Command cord bundlers.
Here's another branch installation from Holidash. Even though it's another branch, because of the selection of the type of branch and stockings, it has a completely different feel from the first idea.
No scrounging around in the yard for this next one. If you have a bookcase, you're good to go.
So sweet is this peg 'o stockings.

If you don't happen to have a rustic ladder or you like the idea but not the 'rustic'part, here's a tutorial from HGTV for making your own lean-to.
Okay, upright pianos might be even more scarce than fireplaces, but this idea from Country Living deserved a highlight.

Spotted this idea at Wheeler Three. Super simple; just hang them from your window locks.
This next idea will take some stealth to fill on Santa's part, but how cute for the kiddo to wake up to a stocking hung on their bedpost! Less stealthy would be to hang them on the outside bedroom door knobs.

Of course said kiddos will probably wake you up at the crack of dawn anyway, so how about hanging them from the foot of your bed?
