In just under four weeks (!!!), Jodi Mockabee and her family transformed their sad 60s cinder block kitchen into a rustic modern retreat, complete with exposed beams, marble countertops, hardwood floors, and a hand-built farm table (made from reclaimed 1800's barn wood sourced from a house up the road).

Kitchens are easy to transform with thousands$$. The internet is full of them, along with all the TV shows! Show us one that took little money. I don't believe in the expense it takes just for room to cook in! & what's with the plastic chairs & lost cupboard space?

 Ugh.

Definitely a beautiful space to be in now -- but wait! What happened to that gorgeous stove? I'd have kept that, no question...

What type of wood is the flooring made from? I love it

 

What kind of treatment on the walls is that? Plaster? Cement? Amazing transformation, indeed. They must be great workers!

"HOLY COW" is exactly what I thought!  I did like the exposed brick in the original though.  It probably wouldn't look good with the white though.
