Make It: Vegetable Print Tote Bag

by on Sep 24, 2015

I’ll be the first to admit I have a lot of tote bags. In fact my drawers are filled with pretty much every colour, pattern and size imaginable.

But given that I throw everything into these bags as I run out the door including my gym clothes, craft glues and other items that I don’t want anywhere near my food, I thought it was high time I reserved a bag just for my fresh fruit and vegetables. Click through to grab the printable file and decorate a tote bag of your own!

Step 1

Iron out your tote bag so that it’s crease-free.

Step 2

Download the printable vegetable sketches and print them onto iron-on transfer paper. Cut around each one with a pair of scissors (leave a border of around 0.2 inches / 5mm around each sketch).

Step 3

Assemble your design by laying each cut-out vegetable on your tote bag.

Then turn each of your vegetables face-down on your tote bag before ironing them in place.

Note: Make sure your iron settings match the manufacturer’s instructions for your transfer paper before you start ironing.

Wait for the bag to cool, then remove the backing paper to reveal your printed tote bag.
