One day LongToe over on Instructables felt like building himself a kayak. Eight months later, he has a dandy of a kayak–almost entirely DIY-able.
The method he used is called stitch and glue. It’s basically stitching thin pieces of plywood together with copper wire, adding an epoxy glue and then all sorts of steps ensue. Apparently, stitch and glue is an established boat building method. Plywood stitched with copper wire, eh? Hey, that gives me an idea.
See each step he took to get this beauty built right here.
