When you’re at an auction, estate sale, consignment shop or a favorite vintage furniture store, don’t pass over a sewing machine table with a giant rectangular hole in the top. All you have to do is get a piece of dark glass cut to fit on the top and you might just be lucky enough to have yourself a small-ish, but functional desk with plenty of drawers and nice lines if you find one that was made in the 1960’s. Check out the two identical tables I lucked into mainly for the sewing machines but they turned out to be just
to use as desks in the bedrooms. I looked all over the bottoms of these tables to try to see a name of the manufacturer, but I didn’t see any sign of any thing. I’m sure Singer had these made just for their machines.
