  1. I love the Scandinavian style but I don’t know if I can pull it off in my home. We live in a Sears American foursquare with beautiful wood trim, wood floors and awesome pocket doors that I refuse to paint because I love the dark rich wood. I’m getting ready to paint my walls in the living room and would love to go white and have a full on Scandinavian style but I need help making sure it looks good with all the wood. Any advice?

  2. Hi Morgan,

I think dark wood can definitely be incorporated into Scandinavian style; in my opinion, what you put into each room is more important in achieving the effect. Simplicity is key, with lots of white, some black accents here and there, and if you want to add color, only use very muted tones.

If you look up “Scandinavian dark wood” on Pinterest, you’ll find some good inspiration. Hope this was somewhat helpful 🙂 Good luck!
