This is one of those makeovers that make you look twice–or maybe a dozen times. Sarah transformed foam interlocking mats, like the ones pictured above into the floral mat pictured below.
Here’s what Sarah used to create her masterpiece:
- primary foam mats
- primer
- base color
- acrylic paint (for the graphics)
- satin polyurethane to seal it up
After a month of use, Sarah says the mat is holding up perfectly, but she does anticipate a bit of cracking in the paint here and there, which, she is sure, ‘will add to the charm and age of the mat.’
