The secret of this little project is a safety can opener. You pop off the BOTTOM of the can and leave the pop top in place for your recipient to open. Clever, huh? To make one or some (they’d be really cute as favors for showers and such) of your own, you’ll need the following:
- one or more small pop top cans (the maker used fruit cups in this example)
- patterned paper
- ribbon
- Elmer’s glue
- craft glue
- paper cutter
- safety can opener, like this one, or this one.
- bag of candy–or whatever–to fill the can(s)
- scissors
- heavy book
