Kevin Bauman started taking pictures of abandoned houses in the Detroit area about 10 years ago. His pictorial exploration of these types of properties has turned into the 100 Abandoned Houses project. The haunting images remind us of what could–and too oftentime does–happen to homes in the U.S. given an unfortunate set of circumstances. Kevin sells prints of the individual homes and donates some of the proceeds to worthy causes, like Habitat for Humanity, in the Detroit area.
