Roundup: 12 NEW Pieces of Furniture Made Out of 12 OLD Pieces of Furniture

by on Aug 11, 2014

New furniture made out of old furniture doesn’t sound very earth-shattering as far as do-overs go, but when you see what these tables, chairs, dressers, and etcetera looked like before compared to what they look like now, it’s all kinds of clever.

This dresser to desk makeover from Thrifty & Chic caught my eye a few months back.

It really is a shadow it’s former shelf.

Jennifer used this old coffee table to make her new desk:

Still loving Kate’s ingenious idea to turn a $25 IKEA Ivar chair into a bedside table!

The addition of a drawer and a sconce are what make it squeal-worthy for me.

If you have some random doors laying around, how about turning them into a coffee table? (Sorry, no ‘before’ for this one.)

Speaking of doors, check out this salvaged-door-turned-headboard project from This Old House.

No before for this one either, but we don’t really need one. The back of a chair was removed and hooks added to make a coat hanging coat rack.

Levi needed a toddler bed, so his mom and dad made one for him out of his crib.

This chair turned kid’2s bench is from the group Junktion. Easy to replicate, with the right chair, of course. BTW, their website’s project page has a plethora of inspiring re-dos.

We’re going to close with two head/footboards to bench re-dos. First up is Sarah’s head/footboard to bench project.

Jen’s old headboard and footboard looked a little more shabby than chic before she transformed it.
