How to Turn an Old Laundry Basket into a New Big Planter

Emily rescued the laundry basket pictured above at the side of the road because she figured she could do something creative with it. It sat in her basement for 6 months, and then inspiration hit: it would make a great outdoor planter. First she patched up the crack with some packing tape. Then she set about applying burlap–both inside and out–with her trusty hot glue gun. She finished up with a length of rope and a cool knot. Check out the results of her clever work:
