Last Friday, while walking into a local mall, I spotted these wonderful starbursts of fabric hanging in the windows of an upscale children’s toy store. Intrigued, I went into the shop for a closer inspection. Much to my surprise, I discovered they were actually constructed using bicycle wheels. The fabric was woven in and out of the spokes. Some had exposed rims, like this one… ?
but there was one with a ‘rushed’ rim, like the one below. So cute! Although they made great hanging art/mobiles, they’d look great mounted on a wall too.
