Roundup: 5 Magical Ceiling Fans

by on Apr 10, 2012

What makes these 5 ceiling fans magical? Some disappear when not in use, others are what dreams are made of. The first one is the Marea fan from bellacor in oil-rubbed bronze. The blade, which seems to sweep the air, is made of frosted acrylic. It comes in satin nickel too and will set you back about $550.

The Cumolos ceiling fan is a light/fan combo that looks like it could belong on a star ship. It’s available at Build for about $1,000.

Benjamin McMahon won a design award for his ‘Ribbon’ fan a few years back. No info on production as of yet.

Only until you peek up into this next pendant light do you see it’s secret. Yes, there is a fan hidden up there. Called the Mistral, you can find it at Y-Lighting for around $1,000.

There’s no mistaking this item from Artisan Crafted Lighting as a ceiling fan; however, it is unlike any bladed ceiling fan I’ve ever seen. (My steampunk dreams are made of things like these.) Aptly described as ‘satellites orbiting a planet’, the Brisa fan is constructed of polished copper and mahogany. No wonder it fetches upwards of $1,600.
