Mary Antonia’s Homemade Tepee

by on Oct 11, 2011

Mary Antonia used her ever dependable Bernina 830 and a bunch of duck canvas she purchased at JoAnn Fabrics (with a coupon) to make herself a tipi. Yeah, a tipi! She used an ‘extra strong sewing needle size 16/100’ for the entire project. Yeah, she didn’t break one needle! After completing her tipi, Mary Antonia took it to Oregon and slept in it for a week. True to Oregon’s character, it poured her first night under the stars, but she stayed ‘cozy and dry’ inside her new portable home.
