My picks are an assorted list of beautifully designed things I’ve seen over the past week. Each is fun and somewhat unexpected in its own right, and I would do a little dance to find any one of them in my stocking this year! Â Â Â
Most people find it surprising when I tell them I go deer hunting each year in the fall. Though after five years of sitting high up in a tree at five in the morning in sub-freezing temperatures I’m starting to think this LEGO kit is as close as I’m ever going to get to getting
I’m always to thrilled to see great design coming out of Chicago. The Chicago comb is not only beautiful and durable, it has an almost instantly iconic design. Â
This is a thought that goes through my mind about ten times a day as I’m going through submissions to Colossal, or discovering things on other art blogs. Just a really great print from the mighty Anthony Burrill.
4. Best Made Company Maple SyrupÂ
I can’t decide what I want more, the syrup inside the jug or the jug itself. Though it might a nuanced observation, it seems like the bar for honey/syrup packaging from independent producers is extremely high right now.Â
I know, this one is going to require an extremely large stocking, but I think we can all take a moment to step back and appreciate the jaw-dropping design of Cricket Trailers. I’ve never in my life considered owning a mobile trailer, Airstream or otherwise, until I saw this.
