Design Blogger Wish List: Erin Loechner of Design for Mankind

created at: 11/14/2011This holiday season, Curbly asked our friends, peers, and favorite design bloggers to stop by, have some hot cocoa, and tell us what gifts they’d like to receive this year. Today, we’re excited to welcome Erin Loechner, of Design for Mankind and HGTV.com.

Hi, friends, and happy early holidays! You might notice a bit of a monochromatic hue to my holiday wish list — this year, I’m craving black, white and wood tones in all shapes, sizes and (eek!) price ranges. Here’s hoping I’ve been very good this year!

1. IOU Letters
My office is lacking a certain level of… shall I say patina? These IOU letters are the perfect addition to my modern art collection.
2. Ordinal Dresser
This one’s a long shot (far out of my wish list budget!), but the organizational zealot in me loves the idea of ranking her wardrobe from everyday favorites to third best.
3. Suki Cheema Throw
This throw (Black Marble) has been doing a number on me for awhile, and although I rarely treat myself to such a decadent purchase, it just might be time to ask Santa for this goodie.
4. Modern Mobile
I’m craving one of these sculptural beauties in every corner of my brain (and home!).
5. Sequinned Peter Pan Collar
Because shiny is always in order throughout the holidays!

Juggling an active Internet career with writing, speaking, styling and consulting, Erin Loechner can be found daily at DesignForMankind.com, her art/design blog that was recently honored as one of the London Time’s top 50 design blogs in the world. She currently hosts a renovation column on HGTV.com where she catalogs her experiences as an impromptu interior designer. Erin’s work has been featured in Glamour, Lucky, Dwell, Readymade, Nylon, Print Magazine, Apartment Therapy and The Huffington Post.
