Before and After: A Genius Bookshelf-turned-Kitchen Storage IKEA Hack

by on May 6, 2014

IKEA

Ahh, the Expedit* bookshelf. One of IKEA’s most ubiquitous products and the springboard for many a creative DIY hack, including this Scandinavian-inspired/minimalist kitchen storage solution.

With the addition of some MDF and plywood doors, K. Klose was able to hide some of the visual clutter of her Expedit kitchen shelving while still preserving the ‘open’ look she was initially going for — a pretty clever solution if you ask me!

*FYI: it’s now called the “Kallax Shelving Unit” in case you’re trying to find it on IKEA’s website!
