How To: Make a DIY Mini Tabletop Grill from Household Items!

by on Feb 3, 2012

It’s a strangely warm and sunny winter day today and I’ve got the itch to get outside and grill something.  A personal-sized mini grill made from items around the house seems like the perfect lunch-making tool to me!  Just throw on some fresh veggies and you’ve got yourself a tasty treat.

Victoria from A Subtle Revelry created a bunch of these tiny tabletop grills for a party (awesome idea, BTW), but I figure making one for a quick lunchtime snack is a-okay.  The coolest part, of course, is that you can make it from common household items!  A small terracotta pot, two spring form cake pans, some wire mesh, and about 10-15 minutes of your time is all you need to make your own mini grill.  All these items can be purchased for cheap from dollar stores, craft stores, or the like.

Check out how to put it all together on A Subtle Revelry!  Meanwhile, let’s brainstorm some other occasions or ways to use these little grills: parties, lunches, picnics?  How or where would you use them?
