We’re a Christmukkah house (or a Hanumas house, if you prefer). I love the fact that we celebrate both holidays, because it provides us the opportunity spend time with loved ones, share traditions, enjoy amazing eats, and decorate.
Hanukkah begins at sundown this evening, and our table is already set. We assembled a simple table incorporating the colors blue, silver, and white. Using a vase we had on hand, and our everyday dishes, we spruced things up a bit with a few key holiday entertaining items from Pier 1 Imports. Below are a few pictures of the table setting, and a description of the items we included.
We decided to go with a simple centerpiece that could be removed once the food arrived on the tabletop. We filled a big light-blue vase from Target with artificial willow sprays from Pier 1. I love the natural and wintery look they bring to the table.
We decided to forgo a table cloth in favor of place mats (we love to show off our hand-made cherry-wood table whenever possible). These smokey-blue ciudad place mats from Pier 1 were just the ticket. They have a bit of a sheen which complemented the silvery table runner.

We used a table runner we had on hand, but had this not been in our “tabletop arsenal”, these embossed metallic place mats (in white, which is really more of a silver) would have been perfect. They have a cool reflective glow that would add a nice shimmer to any centerpiece.
When we were at Pier 1, we picked up 4 of these luminous serving bowls. The simple lines of these bowls allows them to grace the tables of fancy soirees, and nightly family dinners. I love these bowls. And, at $10 a pop, they are worth every penny.
To complete the table, we added our modern-looking menorah and dishes. We’re looking forward to celebrating with our loved-ones over the next eight nights. Happy Hanukkah!
