A Little Spring Fun: Make Fig Jam and Goat Cheese Pizza!

by on Apr 3, 2012

Hi!  I’m Alexandra Hedin – a lifestyle and entertaining expert from the Pacific Northwest.  I provide inspiration, recipes, and crafts for creating a lovely life.  It doesn’t take much to make everyday lovely – or to have fun.  And isn’t that what life is about? All week I’m showing you how I threw together a little springtime affair that takes only a little thought and some good friends.

Yesterday, I fixed a charming little cocktail and today, an appetizer to go with it: Goat & Fig Pizza.  A homemade pizza makes a really fast and easy appetizer.  I love making little pizzas with a homemade crust and seasonal ingredients from the garden or the farmers market.

This super simple appetizer is really delicious and can take as little as ten minutes.  Which means you have no excuse not to entertain!  Have fun, have a party!    created at: 03/25/2012

Goat & Fig Pizza

  • 1 recipe pizza dough
  • 4 ounces chevre
  • 8 ounces fig jam
  • 2 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto
  • handful of basil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Roll out pizza dough to create a twelve inch round.  Spread an even layer of fig jam and top with crumbles of cheese.  Spread out pieces of prosciutto across the top of the pizza.  Sprinkle basil over and bake 10 – 15 minutes on a baking sheet until crispy.

Stay tuned this week for the rest of the party including more recipes and crafts!
